- Vintage Martin Margiela Artisanal Upcycled Foulard Top
- Spring 1992 Collection
- Tonal silk wrap tunic crafted entirely from upcycled silk scarves.
- In subtle frayed motifs of paisley and check
- Adjustable wrap closure and optional neckline hook
- Extremely rare and collectible from early '90s Margiela.
- Notably included in the S/S 1994 'Retrospective Collection', which re-presented iconic designs crafted since the designer's 1989 debut. Photographed by Tatsuya Kitayama in an abandoned supermarket in Paris's 19th arrondissement, the models can be seen with painted necks bearing the original season each garment was presented.
- An early example of Margiela challenging the traditional fashion standard of a new collection, by entirely showcasing and revisiting past archives.
