John Galliano
In 1984, a young John Galliano grabbed the fashion world’s attention with his graduate collection from Central Saint Martins. Entitled ‘Les Incroyables’, Galliano channeled a group of fading aristocrats in post-revolutionary France known as ‘Les Incroyables et Merveilleuses.’ The ambitious designer attacked ‘90s fashion with a rebellious wit, forging iconic tenures at Givenchy and later Christian Dior. His utterly beautiful bias cuts & slips remain sought after.
